Since it was introduced in 2009, fixture builders and designers have relied on the 9500 series swing clamp’s patented arm motion to reach over obstructions. All 90 degrees of rotation occur at the top of the stroke, so the arm travels straight down when clamping. Traditional pneumatic swing clamps “corkscrew” downward, which can limit their placement on the fixture or the materials they can be used to hold.
DE-STA-CO has upgraded its innovative 9500 series pneumatic swing clamp to make it more versatile and easier to install. The new 9500 model features several mounting options that offer better placement opportunities in tight spaces and an additional bore size to meet the needs of more users.
Then John H. Backus Company currently has stock on all bore sizes. We stock the 22mm, 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm bore sized with clamp arms and mounting for all sizes. We stock both left rotation and right rotation for all bore sizes. Clamping forces range from 35lbf to 200lbf.
The new 9500-2 design is built to provide consistent operation in tough conditions, have flexible mounting options, and have a bore size for virtually any application. With the mounting options you can have tapped mounts that allow screws to be directly treaded into the clamp body or the flange kit allows mounting on any face, including the front or side of a fixture. Included with every clamp is a rod weld cover to protect the rod throughout the entire stroke. Most important on the 9500-2 series is how ideal for tight spaces the clamp is because of the arm motion that rotates only at the top of the stroke.
